In recent times, the conventional wisdom among government organizations and civil societies is shifting towards environmentally friendly farming practices; biodiversity based organic farming and low-external-input sustainable agriculture. This had made indigenous knowledge a critical resource for sustainable agriculture. 


Conducting PRA with extension personal for identifying organic manures

The grassroot level extension personal play a key role in transfer of agricultural technologies and knowledge in farming community. But when it comes to eco-friendly farming practices, experience has reveled us that the farmers themselves hold good amount of indigenous knowledge that improves their livelihoods but needs motivation in adopting such technologies. In this scenario these grassroot extension personal simply require the platforms and resources to enable them to enhance their knowledge to act as a channel for sharing information among farmers.
